A not so romantic dress

It's a coincidence that I post the process of my first dress, which I made today. I logged on to post it and there was your post of your first dress Saskia! Crazy.

So, I made this dress without having any idea what I was doing. It was fun. Would love suggestions on how to make it more wearable. I especially need advice on how to handle the very bottom of it.

Thank Saskia and Margreet. I'm not Jenny though, I'm Melissa, no asian genes but it did kill me to be in that position after a while. I'm just stubborn, so I stuck with it :)

You mean in the last photo Jenny? If you look at the straps as sideways figure eight, your arms go through the spaces at each end of the 8 and the crux goes behind the head. Does that make sense? Remember that it's stretchy material and picture it stretched out more.

I did! You only looked at the first page in the photo viewer thingy. You have to keep going on to the second page. Just see them all here if it's not working for you for some reason.

i get it! it looks really nice--i don't know if you planned it (if so, genius) but the swirls in the cloth seem to fit where the dress needs to go. i like it with the unfinished bottom actually.
